A new era of kindness
After nearly three years of flying the Crisis Heroes flag, it’s time to facilitate a new era of kindness. Helping one another shouldn’t be hard, and we proved this with Crisis Heroes. From an idea born out of quarantine at the start of the pandemic, we never thought we’d be in the position we’re in now - more than 20,000 volunteers across Australia on our web app.
After much deliberation, we’ve decided to change our name to open the platform to as many people across the country as possible. When we consulted our users, there was an overwhelming response to move away from Crisis Heroes. Our name implied that people had to be in a crisis to use our platform. This may have been the case back at the start of the pandemic, but it’s not the case now.
We want to position our web app as a space to empower everyday acts of kindness or requests for help. It’s for everyday Aussies wanting to make a difference with micro acts of volunteering. We think the best way to describe us is - a free kindness marketplace.
Without further ado, and with great excitement, we announce our rebrand - Crisis Heroes becomes Kindly. It’s the same functionality as before, just with a cleaner website palette and some app improvements. As they say, don’t fix something that isn’t broken.
Let’s brighten Australian communities one act of kindness at a time with Kindly.
